As a Lady Laker in 2011: Kline stood as a superb hitter, solid defender, and decent pitcher. On the diamond, she split her time playing both third base and pitcher. Her greatest asset was her bat last season. Kline registered the team’s second highest batting average in 2011. She finished her freshman campaign hitting .330 with 1 home run and 11 RBI in 37 games played. On top of her stellar batting average, Kline accumulated a gaudy on-base percentage of .429. Aside from serving as an offensive force, she also carried with her to the field a quality piece of leather last season. She finished 2011 with a .901 fielding percentage. Kline also provided the Lady Lakers with 51 innings worth of work on the mound last season. Voted as one of this year’s team captains, the Lady Lakers will look to lean on her veteran presence both on and off of the field. The sophomore is currently majoring in business administration.
